Privacy

This site learns a little about you: there are forms, and there is analytics. Tickets aren't on sale yet. Here's everything worth knowing.

What we collect

Three things, and the last one isn't ours.

The forms

A dinner or circle application, partnership, a demo slot, a speaker, press accreditation, or telling us to let you know when sales open: your name or the topic, your email, your company and role if you gave them, what you wrote, and the fact that you ticked the consent box, with the moment you ticked it. The dinner and circle forms have two more: which table suits you, or whether you would convene, and - on the dinner form only - anything you tell us about food or access. That last one stays with the host and in our mail; it does not go to the CRM.

Your letters

If you write to fof@, partners@ or press@i8gl.com, we keep the letter: your address, your name if you gave it, and whatever you told us or attached.

The host's server logs

The site sits with a hosting provider that keeps ordinary request logs: address, browser, time. We don't collect them or analyse them.

Why, and on what basis

We use your letter to answer it: about tickets, a dinner, a circle, partnership or press accreditation. The basis is your own request.

We don't pass letters to speakers, partners or the press without your separate consent. We don't sell data, and we won't add you to a mailing list you didn't ask for.

If your answers mention someone else - proposing a speaker, say - please only do so with their agreement.

Who else touches it

Only what the site, the forms, the mail and answering an enquiry need to work: our host Netlify, which also stores what the forms collect, the email service (Google Workspace), our own visitor counter, Umami, and the customer-relationship tools where we keep our record of enquiries, so we can reply and not lose the thread. Each processes data only on our instructions. And three analytics services - the Cookies section below says which.

They all operate outside Russia, and Netlify stores form submissions in the United States. If it matters to you that your data stays in the country, write a short first note with no attachments instead and we'll agree another channel.

Cookies

We use analytics cookies to improve the site. You can change your choice in cookie settings.

Three services set them: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and HubSpot. Clarity records how you move around a page, but not what you type: it hides input boxes and drop-downs in every mode, and that cannot be turned off. HubSpot links a visit to you if you have written to us before.

In the EU, the UK and Switzerland they load only after you agree. Everywhere else, including Russia, they load straight away and you can switch them off in cookie settings. Our own counter, Umami, sets no cookies and always runs.

How long we keep it

The forms and your letters

Two years from the last exchange, then deleted. Ask and we delete sooner.

Server logs

As long as the provider keeps them. We don't export them.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it or withdraw consent. One letter to fof@i8gl.com is enough. A person answers.

If you're unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to the regulator. We'd rather hear it first.

Security, and the honest limit of it

The site runs over HTTPS. What you send with a form is stored by Netlify and reaches us by email.

Ordinary email isn't encrypted end to end. Don't put in a first letter what you wouldn't trust to email.

Children

The evenings are for an adult professional audience. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under sixteen.

Changes

When ticket sales open, or a form, a newsletter or analytics arrive, this page changes the same day, and so does the date at the top.
